All About Millersville, MD
Millersville is considered to be a rural community in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The population rarely rises above 25,000 people, which makes it a small, but lively place to be. Millersville is home to families and young residents, and it was named for the very first postmaster, George Miller, in 1841. He established the first post office along the Annapolis and Elkridge Railroad, which was one of the first rail lines in the U.S.

The Baltimore & Annapolis Trail
There is an amazing walking trail that passes by the Marley Station shopping mall. So, those looking for a little retail therapy will love to visit here. The history lovers will love stopping in to Earleigh Heights Ranger Station, which was created around 1889. There are so many places to see within the trail, but on it there are little picnic nooks to enjoy where you can sit down and rest for a while.
If you are traveling with family, the kids will love Severna Park near the Park Plaza Shopping Center, and they can even hire bikes with trails for the kids! The local pizza and FroYo stores make for an excellent stopping point and the trail takes the beauty of the area very seriously. You’ll find flowerbeds and kiosks along the route run by volunteers who want to lend a seasonal flair.
Kinder Farm Park
Named for the German-born Kinder family, the farm has expanded over the past 80 years into a place of beauty and intrigue. It’s a working famr, and in 1979, the Kinder brothers sold it to Anne Arundel County to preserve the space and the history. This is now Kinder Farm Park.
